The SBTi has approved Rive Sud Après Sinistre’s near-term science-based emissions reduction target.

Our company commits to reduce absolute scope 1 and scope 2 GHG emissions 42% by 2030 from a 2023 base year, and to measure and reduce its scope 3 emissions.

The latest climate science from the IPCC – described by the UN as “code red for humanity” – shows it is still possible to limit global temperature rise to 1.5°C, but we are dangerously close to that threshold.
It is imperative that companies worldwide make rapid and deep emission cuts in halving global emissions before 2030 and achieving net-zero before 2050.

The initiative

The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) is a collaboration between CDP, the United Nations Global Compact, World Resources Institute (WRI) and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). The SBTi defines and promotes best practice in science-based target setting and independently assesses companies’ targets.
